About the author: Kunitomo Sakurai is a Guest Scientist at the Research Institute for

Career: President, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor, Kanagawa University; Professor, University of Maryland; Senior Research Associate, NASA, GSFC; Associate Professor, Kyoto University.
This book is mainly concerned with research on the “Solar
Neutrino Problem” and will consider mainly the research results
achieved by two scientists, Drs. Ray Davis, Jr. and John N.
Bahcall. Dr. Davis carried out experimental research on the measurements
of solar neutrinos and related subjects, and Dr. Bahcall
supported this experimental work with his theoretical and mathematical
work on these problems.
